EF Skills and Why They Matter at Your School
EF skills are important for all students to help them meet the demands of school and everyday life. They help us with efficiency and productivity and are more of an indicator of life success than IQ. With rigorous course loads, extracurricular activities and busy social lives, the demands on our students are always growing. In order to be successful, kids need to be able to prioritize, organize and work efficiently. We help schools and families teach them to do that.

“This year St. Anne School partnered with Sound Academic Coaching to implement a comprehensive Executive Function Program for the school to collectively raise teacher, parent and student understanding of all the components of executive function that impact learning. Each session we all received training on a specific executive function trait. This coordinated work has elevated our community’s collective understanding of executive function skills. Each month brought loads of tricks, tips and strategies that we could all use to grow these skills. Both Beth and Kelly have been responsive to teacher, parent and student questions and requests for support. We are so grateful for the chance to learn from them! We are a better school community for it!”
